ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidate to serve as Health Information Systems (HIS) Analyst in South Sudan. The incumbent will lead the planning, procurement of ICT equipment, management, monitoring, and troubleshooting of all Health information systems' software and hardware infrastructure while scaling up the Systems coverage in South Sudan.S/He will plan and implement capacity-building strategies including training and mentorship for the users of these systems. The HIS analyst will provide technical and leadership oversight to the users at the sub-national levels in South Sudan.

 

ICAP seeks highly qualified and experienced candidate to fill the Health Information Systems (HIS) Analyst position by October 2024.The successful candidate will hold A master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or Health Informatics or any related field, or another related field. Master’s degree is preferred. (certification) in OpenMRS and DHIS2 or related field (project management training is an added advantage) minimum of five (5) years of experience in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of HIS-related programs for expanded care and treatment, laboratory services, prevention, and surveillance in resource-limited settings.

 

The incumbent will have a demonstrated track record working on US Government-supported PEPFAR programs including program planning, monitoring and evaluation. The Health Information Systems (HIS) Analyst will also have experience working effectively as a part of diverse staff teams, and contributing to successful collaborations with donors, host-country ministries of health, and civil society.
